Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2022

Sassicaia is the original Bolgheri Super Tuscan and now even has its own DOC. It has spurred many followers but few rivals. Every vintage of this iconic wine garners lavish praise, big scores and collectors flocking.

Winemaker Notes: 

San Guido’s Sassicaia 2022 is a refined and structured Bolgheri icon, balancing power and elegance. The nose reveals ripe red currant, blackberry, and cedar, with hints of iron and dried herbs. On the palate, vibrant acidity and fine tannins frame a core of dark fruit and subtle mineral depth. A long, polished finish unfolds with balsamic and spice notes.

Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc

Aged in barrels for around 23 months. Transferred to stainless steel before final blending and bottling.
