The Sassetti family, famed for their production of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, expanded their vineyard holdings in 1999 with the purchase of 42 acres (27 planted) in La Querciolina, Montecucco Rosso DOC, along the Tuscan coast, where this wine comes from.
