Thomas Jefferson's favorite quaff. The Sercial is the driest of the styles that the Rare Wine Company's Historic Series aims to recreate of Madeira styles popular in 18th and 19th century America. At the time, the South favored dryer Madeira and thus, the Charleston Sercial is sweet while maintaining a dry, tangy edge.
