Leeu Passant Cabernet Sauvignon 'Stellenbosch' 2022

Notes of cassis, tarragon, graphite and cedar on the nose. These continue on the palate which has a silky texture and great structure from the fine tannins. The richness and power of the wine are balanced by freshness and finesse. The finish is dry with lingering blackcurrant and blueberry flavors.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Grown on one of Stellenbosch’s coolest sites on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain. Hand harvested and destemmed to tanks with only minimal SO2 added. 

Fermentation with indigenous yeast lasted 2 weeks with daily pump overs. Matured for 15 in 500L French oak barrels, 30% new. Aged for a further 15 months in larger format oak before bottling
