Our 2016 Merlot is an alluring, dark ruby red representation of a well-defined Merlot. At the open, it enchants with deep red fruit aromatics that dovetail into rustic forest notes, aged cedar, dried herbs and hints of fresh coffee grounds. The palate is met with expressive flavors of cranberry, clove, cherry and black tea, and a succulent acid profile. The silky mouthfeel resonates with soft and polished mountain tannin that lingers on a long and structured finish.

Before bottling, this 2016 vintage was aged 22 months in new French Haute Futaie oak, which allowed the toasty vanillin notes from the oak to fully integrate with the wine.
