Grapesmith & Crusher Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Sustainably farmed and aged in French oak, this is a delightful Cabernet from Washington. Lots of cassis fruit is balanced by smooth and toasty oak notes, mild acidity, and refined tannins. Vegan friendly.

All vines are sustainably farmed and planted on original rootstock. Yields are kept low. The Wahluke Slope fruit went through primary and secondary fermentation in neutral barrels. The minority portion of the blend was pressed into 100% New American Oak barrels through MLF. Both portions of the blend matured for approximately 13 months in barrel on lees. The barrels were periodically topped up but not racked, allowing more lees contact to improve the mouth feel.
