Ferrero "Pepita" Rosso di Toscana 2021

Ferrero is an artisanal estate in the south westerly corner of Montalcino producing small batches of Brunello di Montalcino and Tuscan rosso's such as this one. Claudia Ferrero and her husband/winemaker Pablo Härri's estate is bordered by Argiano and Banfi's Riserva vineyard "Poggio all'Oro". Pablo has been a winemaker in Montalcino since the 80's, and he spent 15 years as the lead winemaker at Banfi. This delicious Super Tuscan here is named for their daughter, Pepita. 

A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Montepulciano and Alicante. Aged 10 months in mainly used 500 liters tonneaux. The blend is made one month before bottling.
