Enfield Wine Co. 'Citrine' Chardonnay 2023

A blend of heritage vineyards, Citrine is bright, fresh and over delivers.  This wine exhibits a balance of tropical fruit and foral aromatics with surprising acid and a subtle creaminess. It is juicy, mineral, a little bit saline and shows some savory notes on the finish. Intense on the palate but not heavy and showing nice finesse, this wine is distinctly Californian with nice lift, similar to what we would expect from Chardonnay from southern Burgundy.

The Chardonnay grapes were gently whole cluster pressed and lightly settled. Barrel fermented with native yeast and full native ML fermentation it was aged on its own lees for 12 months in barrel, blended and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
