This wine embodies the rugged, sun-drenched terroir of the region, delivering a rich and earthy character with a distinct sense of place. On the nose, "Serra Sanguigna" reveals aromas of ripe red cherries, wild berries, and plums, complemented by earthy notes of leather, dried herbs, and a touch of spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied with firm tannins and balanced acidity, offering flavors of red fruit, black pepper, and a subtle smoky undertone.
Produced by the family-owned Du Cropio estate, which is known for its commitment to traditional winemaking practices, "Serra Sanguigna" is made primarily from the native Gaglioppo grape, the flagship varietal of Calabria. 70% Gaglioppo, 15% Malvasia Nera and 15% Greco Nero.
