Donnachadh Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay 2023

This crisp, satisfying Chardonnay shows off exceptional fruit quality of the 2023 vintage. Aromas of Honeycrisp apple, apricot, white flowers, brioche, and Asian pear linger at the start of a sip. On the palate, it’s round and supple with generous fruit balancing juicy acidity – like biting into a cool, crisp pear. Flinty minerality underscores a clean, refreshing finish.

Hard harvested. Whole cluster grapes were foot-treaded while still cool before being pressed. This wine underwent natural fermentation in French oak barrels for10 months on the lees. It had just a hint of new oak exposure, about 5%.
