Domaine Jasmin Côte Rotie 'La Giroflarie' 2021

The wine is a classic example of a traditional Côte-Rôtie, with notes of spice, black olive, and dark fruit. It is known for its finesse, fine tannins, and bright acidity, which suggest it can be enjoyed young or aged for a decade or more.

96% Syrah, 4% Viognier. 

The grapes haven’t been 100% destemmed since the 1996 vintage. The Syrah and Viognier are co-fermented in thermoregulated cement tanks. Each lieu dit is vinified separately for roughly 21 days. The initial blending doesn’t happen does not happen until the first racking in December.

The wine is aged in new to 10 year old barriques and demi-muids(590L) for 18-24 months. There is very little, if any, new oak.
