Castello di Ama Chianti Classico Riserva Montebuoni 2020

Deep ruby red with purple nuances. Fruit-forward. aromas of blackberry, blueberry, raspberry and currant. A well balanced, refined and harmonic palate with long-lasting aromatic profile. A pure expression of elegance.

This 3rd vintage of Riserva Montebuoni is 95% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot. The vineyard was purchased and replanted 1997, on slope of hill parallel to Bellavista vineyard; hand harvested between mid-September  & October 8; varieties vinified separately using only indigenous yeasts; 24 days cuvaison with manual pumpovers; blended after malolactic fermentations; aged 12 months in fine-grained oak barriques; bottled in Spring.
