Rich aromas of black plum, fennel, and wood spice on the nose lead into a palate that flashes with tension before flavors of baked red fruit and oaky spice take hold. Blend of 57% Grenache, 23% Mourvèdre, 12% Carignan and 8% Syrah, with 11 months of neutral oak aging. From organic vineyard sites in the Santa Cruz and Gabilan Mountains.
