A Tribute to Grace Grenache, Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard 2023

This 100% Grenache is from the Highlands Vineyard, sitting at 3.500ft elevation in the Sierra Madre Mountains, it is the highest elevation Grenache planted in California. Dark cherry, crushed red berries, and peppery spice notes dominate the palate. It has surprising depth and structure for the deceptively light appearance. 

54% whole cluster. 11 month èlevage in french 220L barrique: 8% new, 8% once-used, the remainder in neutral. 

Angela Osborne is originally from New Zealand, now making wine in California. She specializes in one grape variety—Grenache—and sources each wine from a single vineyard. The “Grace” in the name of her winery, A Tribute to Grace, is her grandmother, as well as the attribute of gracefulness.
